Title IX

 

What is Title IX?

On August 14, 2020, new regulations surrounding Law Title IX, 20 § U.S.C. 1681 were implemented after the law underwent revisions that affected educational institutions. Specifically, Title IX:

  • Prohibits discrimination “on the basis of sex”;
  • Education programs and federally funded schools (whether or not sponsored by the educational institution);
  • Protects students, employees, applicants, & all other persons

In accordance, Le Mars Community School District has taken all necessary measures to train and inform Title IX coordinators and disseminate notice of the policy, Title IX obligations, and Title IX coordinator information. Below are legal documents outlining Title IX Training in our district.
